Inside, a fireplace is the one wall nobody stops looking at. It is also structure: a firebox, a flue, a hearth that has to carry weight, and a face that has to sit flat and plumb from the floor to a ceiling that is rarely square. We build the whole assembly rather than veneering someone else's.
Rounded fieldstone, stacked ledgestone, cut ashlar, or a single book-matched slab run floor to ceiling in granite, quartz, marble or quartzite. Cast and stone hearths, reclaimed timber mantels, stone mantel shelves, and returns cut to meet built-ins cleanly.

Most stone contractors here work out of a truck. We built a showroom at 2010 Chapin Rd with a covered slab gallery and an outdoor pavilion, and the pavilion has a full stone fireplace in it. You can stand in front of the stone, at the height it will actually sit, before you choose.
