Pool decks and water features

Everything here is wet, and then it freezes.

A pool surround is the hardest ground we build. It is wet most of the year, it moves with the shell, it gets walked on barefoot, and in January the water that got into the joints turns to ice. Stone that was set on a proper base and jointed properly does not care. Stone that was not comes loose in a season or two.

Coping cut and mitred to the radius of the pool, deck stone laid to fall away from the water, spa caps, raised bond beams, and waterfalls and grottos built from natural boulders rather than cast shapes. The stonework and the countertops on the bar beside it come out of the same shop.

Swimming pool with a sunken spa and banded stone coping, beside a pool house faced in stacked stone, with a lakeside home behind

What you get

Stand inside our work first.

Most stone contractors here work out of a truck. We built a showroom at 2010 Chapin Rd with a covered slab gallery and an outdoor pavilion, and we will walk you across finished stone so you can feel it underfoot before you commit to it.

One crew, stone to finish. Base, coping, deck and water feature by the same people. One contract, one point of contact, no subs pointing at each other when something needs to be made right.

The Locked Price Guarantee. “The number we quote is the number you pay. No allowances. No surprise change orders. One crew, one contract, one price.”

The Backyard Blueprint Walkthrough.

A private design session at the Chapin showroom. Tour the showroom, the pavilion and the covered slab gallery, hand-pick your stone, and spend the hour with a master craftsman rather than a salesperson. You leave with a hand-drawn concept of your own backyard and a fixed all-in price.
